Orthodontic treatments at our clinic

Invisible orthodontics: discreet and practical

Clear aligners are one of the most requested options at our dental clinic in Alameda. They are discreet and effective, and because they are removable you can eat normally and clean your teeth easily.

Fixed braces: solid and reliable

Metal braces, while traditional, have kept evolving. They remain an ideal choice for cases that require more extensive or complex tooth movement.

Damon System: self-ligating braces

Damon self-ligating braces minimise friction, which can shorten overall treatment time, and by reducing the need for extractions they are a less invasive option for many patients.

Looking for a trusted orthodontist in Alameda de Osuna?

Our orthodontists are committed to ongoing training. Together with the technology we use, this lets us offer precise solutions tailored to your needs.

When is orthodontic treatment needed?

When teeth are crowded or spaced, when the bite does not fit (crossbite, open bite or deep bite) or when children show jaw growth problems. Beyond appearance, straight teeth are easier to clean and share chewing forces better.

At what age should a child be assessed?

During childhood, before all baby teeth have been replaced: interceptive orthodontics is usually considered between 8 and 10 years of age and can simplify later treatment. For adults there is no age limit if gums and bone are healthy.

Why do I need retainers afterwards?

Because teeth tend to drift back to where they were. Fixed or removable retainers are fitted when treatment ends and kept long term; they are what makes the result last.

Frequently asked questions about orthodontics

How long does orthodontic treatment last?

Treatment time varies with the complexity of the case and the type of orthodontics chosen. On average, Invisalign treatment can last 12 to 18 months, while traditional braces can last 18 to 24 months. Each patient is unique and you will get a more precise estimate at your consultation.

Is orthodontic treatment painful?

It is normal to feel some discomfort or pressure when appliances are fitted or adjusted. These sensations are usually temporary and subside within a few days. Newer technologies, such as the Damon System, are designed to minimise discomfort.

Can I choose between Invisalign and fixed braces?

Both options are effective; the choice depends on the complexity of the case and your individual needs. At the consultation, the orthodontist will assess the situation and recommend the best option.
